Short Pitch cricket is a popular informal variant of cricket played in the streets or alleys of Bangladesh, India and other South Asian countries. It's typically played with a tennis ball or a plastic ball, and often uses improvised equipment such as bricks or wooden sticks for stumps. The rules can vary depending on the players and the location, but it generally follows the basic principles of cricket with some modifications to suit the smaller playing area and fewer players. Short Pitch is beloved for its informality and the sense of camaraderie it fosters among players.
